  Description:
The Registered Nurse is the health professional in the school. S/he  is charged with seeing to the health needs of the students and to the record-keeping and other health-related requirements of the schools and the District.

Substitute RN

The sub's responsibilities would be to manage the health office in the regular nurse's absence by providing first aid for ill and injured children (and staff) and to dispense medication or provide treatment care as directed. She/he should document all student contact in the method the building nurse prefers. S/he also may be called upon to provide coverage in the main office while the secretary has lunch.

Qualifications:
R.N. registered in Illinois • Ability to work independently and as part of a student team • Love of children • Highly positive attitude with excellent work habits • Ability to work cooperatively and pleasantly with others • Highly professional language and demeanor • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills • Ability to serve as a positive role model for children • Interest in and enthusiasm for the position and education in general • Appreciation of cultural diversity • Ability to speak a foreign language preferred - Knowledge of computers and technology helpful • Strong sense of creativity
