Description:
Supervise large group of students while implementing positive and consistent expectations and providing for emotional and physical safety. Implement and support appropriate behavioral guidelines and consequences for students. Develop and maintain positive relationships with students and co-workers. Escort students as necessary. Provide conflict resolution; refer incidents to building principal for attention as appropriate. Understand and maintain boundaries with students, families and staff. Wash tables and provide general clean-up between lunch periods and after last lunch period. Able and willing to supervise students outdoors during less than ideal weather. Direct movement of groups to and from recess area. Assume responsibilities of play equipment; notify principal of equipment in need of repair. Treat others with fairness and equity.
Positions are typically two to three hours per day; late morning to early afternoon.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Ability to meet Highly Qualified status as defined by District 833.
- Competencies as required by the State of MN, Federal government and/or District 833.
Working Conditions:
- Physical demands: consistent standing, use of vision; frequent walking, reaching and bending, lifting/carrying up to 40 lbs, loud noises; occasional sitting, stooping, stretching/reaching, computer use
