Description: Substitute teachers needed on an "on call" basis in all grades. Also, substitutes who are "Highly Qualified" under NCLB needed for longer term substitute assignments (e.g., maternity leaves).
Compensation: $95/day for day to day assignments. For long term assignments, $95/day for the first 10 days, then Lane 1, Step 1 on the existing teachers' salary schedule. No benefits, no paid time-off.
Qualifications: All successful applicants need to currently hold ISBE initial, standard or master teaching certificates, Type 03 (elementary), or Type 09 (grades 6-9), if Type 09, need to have middle subject matter endorsements. Successful applicants must possess a college degree in teaching.
