($9.39-$10.17/hr) depending on verifiable years of
experience.
SUMMARY
Works under supervision in the
performance of any combination of following instructional
tasks in classroom to assist teacher of elementary Title One
students by performing the following duties.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
include the following. Other duties may be assigned.
Assists Teacher by carrying out
instructional guidelines set up by Teacher.
Works with students one-on-one
or in small groups.
Prepares various teaching aids
such as charts, and graphs.
Presents subject matter to
students, utilizing variety of methods and techniques such as
lecture, discussion, supervised role playing, and uses
technology to assist in instruction.
Provides assistance with
identifying, scheduling, and assessing of Title One
students.
Assist teacher with updating and
maintaining accurate student records.
QUALIFICATIONS

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE
Completion of two years or more
at an accredited college or university
or
an Associate's Degree or higher,
or
written verification of a passing score on the state
Parapro test. For Associate's degree or completion of two
years or more at an accredited college or university,
original transcripts are required.
Knowledge of a foreign language is helpful.
LANGUAGE SKILLS
Ability to read and interpret
documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance
instructions, and procedure manuals.
Ability to write routine reports and correspondence.
Ability to speak effectively before groups of customers or
employees of organization.
MATHEMATICAL SKILLS
Ability to add, subtract,
multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole
numbers, common fractions, and decimals.
Ability to compute rate, ratio, and percent and to draw and
interpret bar graphs.
REASONING ABILITY
Ability to apply common sense
understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written,
oral, or diagram form.
Ability to deal with problems involving several concrete
variables in standardized situations.
