POSITION:
Elementary Principal (Bilingual/Spanish)
Qualifications: Must hold a Type 75 administrative certificate
and have administrative experience-Bilingual Spanish(Required);
At least five years of experience in teaching and or
administration/suprvision at the elementary school level or
equivalent experience; Ability to plan, organize and coordinate
comprehensive PreK-5 schoo instructional programs; Demonstrated
ability to develop effective working relationships with students,
staff, community, and the public; Can demonstrate knowlege of
principles, practices, materials, and equipment used in current
Pre K-5 school education and an ability to apply them to the
needs of the school; Ability to plan, supervise, and evaluate the
work of instructional and support personnel; Knowledge of current
curriculum and instructional best practices and trends; Ability
to communicate effectively, both orally and in writing;
Understands the needs of a diverse learning community; Strong
curriculum knowledge, including implementing literacy,
Common Core and math strategies, is required. Knowledge of early
childhood (elementary), RTI and PBIS strongly desired.
DUTIES:
Responsibilities include: Implementing Common Core State
Standards, supervise and evaluate certified and non-certified
staff, student discipline, and extra-curricular supervision
responsibilities; Establish and maintain an effective learning
environment; Demonstrate leadership by effective supervision and
utilization of all personnel within the building; Work
collaboratively with district and school curriculum teams to
insure that curriculum and assessemnts are aligned in a
develomentally appropriate way with the Common Core
Standards,benchmarks and performance descriptors; Coordidnate and
direct a schoo site public relations program; Administer pupil
personnel services; Administer the financial management of the
building; Initiate and sustain relationships to accomplish
goals;Perform all responsibilities assigned by the Superintendent
and School District.
SALARY:
Salary and Benefits are commensurate with experience and
approved by the Board of Education
