Duties:
The Student Services Coordinator assists the Director of Special
Education in the implementation, direction and maintenance of the
cooperative and member district's Special Education programs and
services.
Essential
Functions:
Keep abreast of developments in special education and make
decisions on staff and student issues regarding compliance and
procedural safeguards; Conduct special education trainings and
meetings to keep cooperative and district staff knowledgeable
about policy changes, new programs, current best practices, and
other pertinent information regarding special education;
Coordinate and oversee Early Childhood Screenings for member
districts; Participate in meetings, process, etc. (IEP meetings,
parent groups/meetings, problem solving meetings, administrative
meetings, etc.) for the purpose of implementing and maintaining
cooperative and district Special Education programs and
services.
