Special Education Services (a
member of The Menta Group) is currently seeking a progressive
state registered or licensed school nurse to join the clinical
team at our therapeutic day school serving the Nokomis,
Illinois area.
Special Education Services is a group
of special education schools with a kindergarten through 12th
grade therapeutic educational services program for Behavior,
Emotional, and Developmental Disabled Children, and an
alternative safe school for high school students who are
at-risk of suspension or expulsion living in Nokomis, Illinois
area. The school's curriculum and credit earning system is
aligned with its partnering districts allowing for seamless
transitions from and to the students' home schools.
This program is being established
to positively impact the academic and social-emotional
competencies of students referred to the program. Believing
that all children have a right to quality educational services,
SES programs maintain a no refusal, no suspension, no expulsion
policy, an integrated focus on academic and social-emotional
learning, and a continuum of learning and behavioral
supports.
Small class size, intensive clinical
services, and a competently trained staff of educators combine
to make this program a positive and dynamic place to
learn. The emphasis is placed on teamwork and creativity
to provide this positive environment for our students to excel.
We are currently seeking progressive registered nurses,
licensed nurse, or LPN to join the clinical teams at our
sites.
This job opening is an immediate
starting position with salary comparable with the position and
area for a three day position with some flexibility to
start.

Qualifications:
A State of Illinois Registered Nurse,
licensed nurse, or LPN with school nursing certification
is required for this position as other candidates will not be
considered.
CPR and AED certified.
Experience working with Special
Education students with significant emotional and behavioral
disorders is preferred.
