Description:  Noon Assistant

Job Summary:  The Noontime Assistant will supervise students in the cafeteria during the lunch time, on the playground during the noontime period, in halls, corridors and lavatories during noontime and on a rainy day program; assists in guiding pupils in the development of desirable and acceptable social skills and habits applicable to good American citizenship while in the cafeteria and on the playground; encourages healthy attitudes toward other adults in authority in addition to teachers; assists in the general welfare and safety of the students by reporting accidents and hazardous conditions immediately; encourages good playground standards; consistently encourages the following of correct rules and organization of games to help establish habits of fair play in order to enjoy wholesome recreational activities during the noon time.

Qualifications:  High School education or equivalent. Experience and desire to work with children. High moral and physical standards, neatness, integrity, punctuality and good judgement. Willingness to follow directions; ability to work with adults and children; skill and accuracy in oral and written expression; ability to respect confidential matters

Working Conditions:  Part time

Salary Range:  $9.47- $10.38 per hour. 2 hours per day, 5 days per week
