SUBSTITUTE TEACHER
Danbury Public Schools

Education.
As a fellow team member, whether for a single day or a longer
assignment, substitute teachers help us to reach that goal
by providing high quality educational opportunities for
our students when their regular classroom teachers are
unavailable due to illness, professional development
or other reasons. As a substitute teacher, you
will be responsible for classroom management, delivering the
lessons left for you by the regular teacher, and leaving feedback
about how the day progressed.
MAJOR RESPONSIBILITIES
· Delivers
classroom instruction when the classroom teacher is absent
· Performs other
related duties as assigned by building administrators
· Provides
feedback to the classroom teacher
QUALIFICATIONS
· Bachelor's
Degree (in any subject area)
· Teacher
certification preferred
· Strong
communication skills
· Strong
interpersonal skills
· Strong
classroom management skills
· Belief that all
students can achieve at the highest levels
· High standards
of ethics, honesty, and integrity.
SALARY
Daily Rate: $90/day
