SPECIFICATIONS:
The normal work year for this position
is ten (10) months. The individual employed for this
position, will report to the Principal, Special Education
Lead, Assistant Superintendent of Special Programs, Grants
and Compliance. School psychologist make important
contributions to the social, emotional and academic
development of students by serving as advocates for good
mental health and safe and supportive learning
environments.
They provide direct educational, behavioral,
and mental health services for children and youth, as well as
work with the families, school administrators, and other
professionals to create supportive learning and social
environments for all students. They have particular expertise
in data collection, analysis and interpretation for student
achievement and school improvement.
QUALIFICATIONS:
Qualifications include but are not limited to:
Valid Illinois Type 73 Certificate with School Psychology
endorsement, Master's in School Psychology, Preferred
experience in urban school setting
