TITLE:
Network Technician
REPORTS TO:
Network Administrator
QUALIFICATIONS:
1.
Associates Degree required
2.
Bachelor's Degree preferred
3.
Working knowledge of computer hardware and software operation,
installation, and maintenance.
JOB GOAL:
To provide technical support
with a variety of technology equipment and trouble shoot and
repair equipment. This individual must possess the
ability to coordinate a variety of tasks.
KEY FUNCTIONS INCLUDE:
1.
Trouble shooting computers and related equipment
and software;
2.
Provide minor repair services in-house on
technology equipment;
3.
Install and monitor software on individual
computers;
4.
Assist with ordering computer supplies;
5.
Assist students and staff with equipment use and
care;
6.
Serve as a technical resource for staff and
students;
7.
Provide for equipment maintenance;
8.
Provide system administration for the TCD local
area network;
9.
Install and maintain existing network
wiring;
10.
Other duties as assigned
