CHILD CAREGIVER I - On Call
POSITION SUMMARY
Responsible for the direct care of
infants/children, including all physical care required.
Supervision
of sleeping children, and initiation of age
appropriate, developmental activities. Responsible for
observing the maintenance and cleaning protocol
for assigned care areas.
GENERAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
Provide direct care of infants and children
within a loving, nurturing, secure, and developmentally
appropriate environment.
Prepare and feed children and attend promptly
to their physical needs.
Maintain a clean, sanitary, healthful child
care environment.
Interact with children in a positive,
appropriate manner.
Maximize children's opportunities for learning
and skill development through structure and
unstructured activities.
Complete child's daily report sheet.
Interact positively with parents regarding
their children's activities, progress, and special needs.
Perform related duties as required.
Report to Child Care Director.
QUALIFICATIONS:
High School Diploma, or GED, and proof of
successful completion of a recognized Child
Caregiver Training Program.
OR
High School Diploma, or GED, and one year's
successful employment in a licensed child care
facility.
A pre-employment certification of good health,
including a documented, negative Tuberculin Test
or normal x-ray.
