MINIMUM CERTIFICATION: Nationally Recognized Water Fitness Instructor Certification
RECOMMENDED CERTIFICATIONS: American Red CrossLifeguarding, First Aid, and CPR for
Professional Rescuer with AED, Must be at least 16 years of age.
JOB TYPE: Part-time Position
HOURS: 1 -3 hour shift: weekday mornings, evenings, or Saturday mornings
Under the direction of the Aquatics Program Coordinator, a Water Safety Instructor will conduct classes
that comply with the standards of the certification that they hold. A Water Fitness Instructor must be an
energetic, dedicated, and motivated individual who enjoys teaching fitness to a group of adults. Water
Fitness Instructors must be willing to work at 3 pool locations: Olson Middle School, Valley View Middle
School, and Richfield Middle School.
