The teacher will be responsible for administering the W-APT and/or MODEL screening assessments as needed, instructing students in grades K-2 whose first language is Urdu, meeting the needs of English language development for these students, evaluating student progress, and communicating progress to parents. The teacher will instruct limited English proficient Assyrian speaking students in a transitional bilingual program in basic curriculum areas. The teacher will work cooperatively with other classroom teachers, pupil personnel team, and complementary subject area teachers.
- Illinois Initial or Standard Early Childhood and/or Elementary Certificate with bilingual endorsement or approval in Assyrian
- Successful teaching experience preferred.
