Director of Guidance

Job Summary: In addition to the primary function of the guidance counselor and all guidance counselor responsibilities and duties, the Director of Guidance will be involved in the following major responsibilities under the direction of the principal.  This is a teacher plus stipend position.  The stipend is based on the teacher's daily rate for up to 12 additional days.

Topics of Duties:

•  Serve as the department coordinator;
• Registration of students;
• Student course selection and scheduling;
• Public Relations;
• Student Records;
• Testing Programs;
• Preparation of budget;
• College visitations;
• Special instructional programming;
• Scholarship information;
• Summer School information
• State Department of Education Reports
• Performs other duties as appropriate and required.

Qualifications:  Must have a valid Connecticut Certification Number 068, additionally 092 is preferred

Salary Range:  $41,446 (BA Level/Step 1) to $86,747 (6th Yr Level/Step 13)
