Health services provided by the school nurse
will include:
v
Maintaining a continuous health program for all
students through implementing and monitoring health services in
accordance with laws, regulations, and standards of
practice.
v
Using the nursing process to collect, interpret,
and record information about health, developmental, and
educational status of students to determine a nursing diagnosis
and to develop healthcare plans.
v
Ability to communicate with parents and to
collaborate with others (medical, welfare, etc.) to facilitate
health services and care.
v
Creating a safe and healthful school
environment
through a continuous health program.
v
Acting as a resource to students, families, staff,
and community regarding health services, health education, and a
healthy environment.
v
Performing other duties as may be designated by
the Building Principal.
