Position:
Transportation Student Assistant
General Responsibilities:
·
Assist with the
loading and unloading of passengers and proper securement of
mobility devices; close work with special education students
·
Assist the
school bus driver in performing daily pre-trip and post-trip
inspections
·
Assist with
monitoring and managing behavior of all riders
·
May require
standard first aid, body fluid clean-up, and/or provide support
for students with disabilities
Qualifications:
Required:
·
High School
Diploma or equivalent
·
English language
skills; ability to read, write, speak and communicate in English
(must pass English component of interview process)
·
At least 21
years of age
·
Must acquire and
maintain CDE approved First Aid certification and complete
training program within 60 days of hire
·
Completed BVSD
