The School District of University City seeks an outstanding Secondary Mathematics Coach to join our District. The successful candidate will be part of a high-energy team comprised of secondary mathematics educators dedicated to continuous educational improvement for all students.
Qualifications: Master’s degree or equivalent in Mathematics education with at least five years of exemplary teaching experience. The Secondary Mathematics Coach should be a master teacher with documented success in coaching teachers in mathematics instruction at the secondary level. The successful candidate will be an instructional leader who can build relationships with teachers and guide them toward implementing research-based instructional practices in their classrooms. A strong foundation in facilitating job embedded professional development is a plus. Experience and success in coaching support that fosters the development of mathematical thinking in the secondary classroom is critical.
Compensation: The School District of University City offers a competitive minimum salary of $44,000, with up-to ten years of salary derivation chart credit given for public school teaching/coaching experience. In addition, we offer an excellent benefits package, including medical, dental, vision and life insurance, as well as graduate tuition reimbursement. This is a 9-month, exempt position, with an approximate start date of August 1, 2012.
