Southland College Prep Charter High School is seeking a high school counselor to help students make decisions that affect their personal and academic development.
The candidate for this position must be skilled in counseling techniques focusing on students' career goals and educational program(s) and coursework necessary to attain their career aspirations. The candidate for must also possess skills in the development, implementation and evaluation of professional school counseling programs, as well as an ability to work in collaboration and consultation with others in the school and community. A knowledge of scholarship programs, internships and partnerships with corporate and community organizations that provide professional support and career guidance for high school students is a requirement.
Excellent communicative skills, a collegial approach, high energy and a commitment to ensure that all students succeed in their studies and career aspirations are attributes that the candidate for this position must possess.
Southland College Prep Charter High School's mission is to provide every student with the content knowledge and interpersonal/communicative/professional skills that will enable them, upon graduation to enter a college or university of the choice.
