Responsibilities:

The Lexington Public Schools is seeking a highly qualified candidate to serve as a District Wide PK-12 Behavior Specialist. The responsibilities of the position would include: conducting Functional Behavior Assessments and home assessments; developing step-by-step student-specific behavior plans; training and coaching school personnel in the implementation of behavior plans, and de-escalation and restraint techniques; consulting with the special education teams, attending Team meetings, monitoring student progress through data collection, including creating data sheets, graphing data, and modifying programs based on the data. 
  
 
Requirements: 
Candidates for this position should be licensed as a Guidance Counselor, Psychologist, Social Worker, School Adjustment Counselor or BCBA. The candidate should have strong verbal and written communication skills, be willing to work collaboratively with multi-disciplinary teams, and be able to successfully multi-task and problem solve in complex environments.
