  The Junior Varsity Dance Coach will help direct the JV program at Brighton High School. The JV Coach reports to the Varsity Coach and the Athletic Director who oversees the athletic program.

  1. Assists with the supervision and coaching of student-athletes at all levels of the program
  2. Works closely with the Varsity Dance Coach and athletes
  3. Communicates with the athletic director and athletic secretary about student-athletes, needs, incidents, and all concerns related to the athletic program
  4. Will assist in developing a dance schedule, camps, etc.
  5. Helps to direct and supervise instructional and conditioning camps throughout the year
  6. Communicates with coaching staff, athletes, parents and the community
  7. Promotes the student-athlete and assists with academic eligibility
  8. Assist in supporting the student-athlete with information concerning scholarships and financial aid
  9. Follows league, district, and CHSAA policies and regulations
Required Qualifications:
  • High School Degree required
  • Strong communication and organizational skills
  • Ability to help lead and build a competitive program that focuses on the needs of Brighton High School student athletes
  • Knowledge of all aspects of the skills involved with this sport required
  • Coach certification or ability to obtain required
Preferred Experience:
  • College degree preferred
  • Previous high school coaching experience preferred
  • Previous Dance Team experience at the college level preferred
