Description:
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES (include, but not limited to):
Manages the Child Nutrition Program in the following areas:
· Oversees adherence to the Federal, State and local policies and regulations
· Assigns, directs, plans, supervises and evaluates the work of the CNP employees
· Assists with the processing of free/reduced price meal applications
· Oversees adherence of proper sanitation procedures
· Attends Faculty, PTA/PTO and other meetings at the request of the Director and/or Principal
· Assists with state mandated accountability school reviews
· Keeps all records and reports accurate and up-to- date
· Assists with nutrition education activities
· Assumes the responsibility of keeping all equipment in working order, files maintenance requests
· Plans and supervises adequate staffing, time sheets, food quality checks, meal cost analysis, etc.
· Develops and tests new recipes and tests new products as directed
· Assists with equipment replacement
· Inspects food/equipment/supplies/products against bid specifications
· Attends all training (in-service and TID) or other training at the Directors request
· Comple in-depth On-The-Job training for all new employees
· May provide for in-house catering for principal
· Supports the school and the system at all times, and works cooperatively with others
· Supervises, coaches, evaluates, and handles on-site progressive discipline of all employees as needed/directed
· Any other duties assigned
Qualifications:
Minimum Qualifications:
- Excellent attendance record and annual performance evaluation
- High School Diploma (or equivalent)
- Five years of experience in Food Service
- Valid Georgia Drivers license
- Work Keys Assessment:
· Locating Information (minimum score 4)
· Applied Mathematics (minimum score 4)
· Reading for Information (minimum score 4)

- ServSafe Certification
- Working knowledge of all food service equipment
- Working knowledge of Microsoft Office Programs
- Understanding of all aspects of cashiering, and ability to cashier if necessary
- Ability to avert potential problems and maintain confidentiality at all times
- Ability to be flexible and work harmoniously with others
