Note:
This is not a new position but a
replacement position and is Grant Funded
Primary Function:
Liaison between school, home and community
resources.
Description:
·
Facilitate linkage services for students and
families
·
Work with the schools to provide carryover
skills and techniques for positive school/home
relations
·
Support staff members in understanding student
medical needs
·
Attend IEP and parent meetings
·
Participate as part of the interdisciplinary
team
·
Coordinate home and site visits
·
Assist parents and students transitioning into
the next educational/adult placement
·
Attend placement meetings with families for
alternative education setting
Qualifications:
·
Bachelor's Degree (B.A.) or
equivalent, plus five to ten years' experience as a special
education consultant, outreach worker and family
liaison
All employees shall remain
free of any alcohol or non-prescribed controlled
substance abuse in the workplace throughout employment in
the District.
