REPORTS TO: Special Education Administration WORK DAY/YEAR: July 9 – August 2, 2012 *Monday – Thursday *7:45 a.m. - 12:15 p.m.
Positions at Gibbs Elementary School include: SLD, EBD, DCD-MM, DCD-SP SALARY: $34.01 per hour, 4.5 hours per day We believe that all students can learn and that motivating students is an essential part of teaching. Students in these programs are invited to participate because they are at risk of not meeting proficiency.
QUALIFICATIONS:*MN Special education DCD-SP teaching license required.*Previous ESY experience preferred.*Regular, on-time attendance is required.*Successful special education teaching background required.*Demonstrated ability to work as part of a team.*Effective oral and written communication skills.*Excellent organization skills.*Understanding of Best Practices as related to teaching basic skills.*Familiar with students at the site. RESPONSIBILITIES:*16 student contact days and 2 teacher work days.*Most ESY programs involve some bending and lifting.*If you are not available to work the entire ESY session, you will be responsible for securing a sub for the days you are gone.
