Windham plans to offer an extended summer school program for
certain students from pre-school through high school that require
additional education services determined at their annual PPT.
Read the following information very
carefully to understand the program's focus.
Please note that the
Extended School Year Program this summer is a 16-day program
(July 16 - August 9) / 23-day program (July 2 - August 9)
dependent upon funding availability and enrollment.
Staff hiring will not be finalized until final student
enrollment is determined.
The program objectives this year will be:

To maintain skills
both academically, socially, and adaptive as identified on the
Individual Education Plan (IEP)
¨
To continue to provide
related services as identified on the Individual Education Plan
(IEP)
The Elementary, Middle and High School Programs are sixteen days
of instruction, Monday - Thursday (July 16 - August 9) - Student
Hours: 8:30 AM - 12:30 PM (Students bused home at 12:30 PM after
the academic session).
Program locations: North Windham
(Elementary) and Windham High School (Middle and High
School)
The Program for elementary students on the autism spectrum is
twenty-three days of instruction, Monday - Thursday (July 2 -
August 9) - Student Hours: 8:30 AM - 12:30 PM (Students bused
home at 12:30 PM after the academic session).
Program location: North Windham
The Pre-School Program is sixteen days of instruction, Monday -
Thursday (July 16 - August 9) - Student Hours: 8:30 AM - 12:00 PM
(Students bused home at 12:00 PM after the academic session).
Program location: Kramer
Building
The Pre-School Program for students on the autism spectrum is
twenty-three days of instruction Monday - Thursday (July 2 -
August 9) - Student Hours: 8:30 - 1:30 PM (M, T) and 8:30 AM -
12:00 PM (W, Th) (Students bused home at 12:00 PM after the
academic session).
Program location: Kramer Building
Depending upon enrollment, staff will consist of approximately
8-10 special education teachers, 10 to 20
tutors/paraprofessionals, at least 1 nurse, at least 1 speech and
language pathologist (SPL), 1 occupational therapist (OT), 1
physical therapist (PT), and a possibility of bus monitors.

changes
