Salary: Per PEA Contract
QUALIFICATIONS
·
Valid Michigan
Teaching Certificate with full approval in at least one area of
Special Education.
·
Must demonstrate
strong attendance and work ethic, organization skills, and
classroom management skills.
·
Must be knowledgeable
about current educational research and best practices.
·
Applicant must have
skills necessary to ensure compliance with laws requiring data
driven decisions.
·
Must meet highly
qualified expectations for the position.
Preferred Qualifications
:
·
Experience in writing
and implementing standards-based IEPs and behavioral intervention
plans preferred.
·
Experience making
adaptations in the general education curriculum to meet the
multiple needs of students including behavior challenges.
·
Experience working
with AI/ASD students strongly preferred.
·
Teacher Consultant
eligible preferred.
·
Highly qualified
status in core content areas (secondary level) preferred.
