Varies: Substitute for a Stepping Stones teacher on an on-call basis. Qualifications:
Able to meet requirements under "Standards of Group Day Care of Preschool and School-Age Children, for teachers, DHS Rule 3", Department of State of MN. Prefer degree in Early Childhood Education. Ability to work well with young children and parents. Good communication, organizational and cooperation skills. Creativity in planning developmentally appropriate curriculum. Knowledge of or interest in the Reggio Emilia Approach and emergent curriculum.
Job Summary:
Understand and implement Stepping Stones program philosophy, policies and procedures. Set up and lead classroom activities, supervise children, keep accurate records, and direct any assistant or volunteer assigned to the classroom. Communicate information to the regular classroom teacher. This position may be extended through the school year if desired.
