Superintendent

The Lakewood Board of Education is seeking a creative, energetic and visionary leader with documented success and expertise in curriculum design, development and implementation, closing achievement gaps, and an unwavering commitment to success for every child.  Our multi-cultural and diverse Pre-K to 12 district is composed of 7 schools and currently serves 5,200 public school students and is supported by 684 staff and a budget of $102+ million.  The district also provides transportation and educational support services to 22,000 non-public school students.

Qualifications

 

·         NJ School Administrator or Certificate of Eligibility required

·         Experience as a superintendent, assistant superintendent or central office position, required

·         Experience in a similar district preferred

·         Demonstrated leadership skills, curriculum and staff development, finance community engagement, and technology

 

Salary commensurate with education and experience; subject to NJ regulations.

 

Position available: July 1, 2012.
