Support Specialist Technician
Description: South Windsor Public Schools is seeking a desktop and enterprise application support specialist technician to fill an immediate vacancy. This is a 12 month position, 37.5 hours per week, Monday through Friday, 8:00 a.m. - 4:00 p.m., which includes a 30 minute unpaid lunch. Under the supervision of the Director of Technical Operations and Services, the technician will support the goals of the technology department by maintaining systems, peripherals, applications and network infrastructure. The technician will support users through multiple support channels and training opportunities.
Qualifications: A bachelor's degree is preferred. Two (2) years experience supporting Windows - based systems in networked environment and possess knowledge of ITIL principles. In addition to daily support of end users and end user hardware/software, duties will include:
install, configure and maintain desktop applications
install, configure and maintain server based enterprise applications
configure and maintain Internet based applications
produce knowledge base articles to assist end users with common issues/questions
add, change, remove users within multiple systems
maintain definitive media library
monitor software license compliance
- other tasks as needed
Salary: Rate of pay commensurate with experience. Benefits are offered.
