QUALIFICATIONS:
Candidates must hold, or be eligible to hold, a Wyoming teaching
certificate with an endorsement as a school counselor or a school
social worker,
or
candidates may hold professional licensure issued by the Wyoming
Board of Mental Health Professionals. Other desired
qualifications include: Knowledge in behavior theory;
strong verbal and written communication skills; experience
working with children with emotional disabilities; nurturing;
relationship builder; knowledgeable about conflict resolution;
child-centered; flexible; experience with counseling children;
team player; organized; ability to maintain confidentiality;
working knowledge of the IEP process; enthusiastic; understanding
of child development and age appropriateness; and willing to work
to connect parents to the school.
JOB DESCRIPTION:
This successful candidate will provide classroom guidance and
counseling to students in grade K-12 and individual counseling to
students whose IEPs require counseling services, will be a member
of the positive behavior supports team, and will run small social
skills groups.
