Job
Qualifications:
1.
Bachelor's and/or Master's degree in
Education.
2.
Possess or be eligible for
certification in the area of Exceptional Children Special
Education Teacher and
Integrated
Science
in Delaware.
3.
Possess or be eligible for No Child
Left Behind Highly Qualified Designation in the content
area of
Science
.
4.
Mastery of the necessary content
knowledge and skills to successfully teach and deliver
exceptional standards-based instruction that ensures
academic growth.
5.
Experience with individualized
education program (IEP) processes, the Individuals with
Disabilities Education Act (IDEA), the state curriculum
standards and assurance in compliance with all Federal
and State laws and/or regulations.
6.
Demonstrates success in improving
student achievement.
7.
Proficiency in automated student
information systems for progress and grade reporting and
class work documentation and ability to integrate
technology into instructional delivery.
8.
Exceptional classroom management,
organization, planning, instructional delivery,
leadership and technical skills and the ability to
utilize differentiated instructional methods to engage
students in positive learning experiences.
9.
Outstanding ability to motivate and
build relationships with students and parents to promote
student achievement and strengthen community
partnerships.
10.
Commendable history of effective
leadership, extra-curricular participation, an acceptable
attendance record and exemplary performance.
