PRIMARY PURPOSE:
Assist in keeping daily attendance records and maintain all required PEIMS Data accurately in a timely manner.
QUALIFICATIONS:
Education/Certification:
1. High School Diploma or GED certificate
2. Meet state certification requirements
Special Knowledge/Skills:
1. Satisfactory score on MCISD clerical test in all categories
2. Computer literate – proficient level
MAJOR RESPONSIBILITIES AND DUTIES:
1. Receive incoming telephone calls from parents who are reporting students’ absences.
2. Call parents or guardians of students whose absences have not been explained.
3. Prepare necessary papers for entering and withdrawing students.
4. Issue student attendance cards for teachers and supervise the recording of attendance each period.
5. Enter daily attendance for each student in permanent ledger or computer.
6. Prepare six weeks’ attendance information for Principal’s Period Report.
7. Responsible for the maintenance of all PEIMS related data entry on a timely manner.
8. Responsible for campus computer data submissions according to Title I PEIMS responsibilities requirements.
9. Input and maintain student discipline/truancy records.
10. Input updated LPAC data sheets.
11. Check PEIMS verification reports submitted by Central Office to verify all PEIMS data is correct.
12. Participate in scheduling economically disadvantage audits to maintain current and accurate PEIMS data for Educationally Disadvantaged Students.
13. Work with other clerical staff to ensure there is cross-training of essential duties.
14. Assist in all routine office procedures.
15. Perform all duties in a safe manner to avoid injury to oneself and/or others.
16. Perform other duties as assigned.
