Program contingent upon renewal of the SBYSP grant from the NJ State Department of Children and Families

June 26, 2012 through June 30, 2013

• Various hours during summer program
• Before, during or after the school day during the school year

Responsibilities  

• Assist with the design and implementation of multifaceted Summer camp, before and after school programs for high school students
• Assist in recordkeeping of attendance and level of service tracking
• Facilitate activities suitable for high school students in the areas of  recreation, employment, social-emotional, employment and academic skill development
• Provide school-based guidance to students as needed and under the supervision of director
• Supervise students during events, field trips and activities to ensure learning and safety
• Work closely with other SBYSP and high school staff
• Other duties as deemed necessary by program directo r

Qualifications

• Minimum 2 years of college in Social Service or Education
• Familiarity with emotional intelligence, and social-emotional and character development concepts and activities
• Prior camp experience

Compensation

• $12 per hour, not to exceed program funds
