POSITION :                                        Teacher of the Hearing Impaired

STARTING DATE :                           August 2012

RESPONSIBILITIES :            ·     Assess and teach hearing impaired students;

                                                   develop I.E.P.s.

                                                                Based on students' educational, social,

                                                   emotional needs

·         Work with students individually or in small groups

·         Select appropriate texts, learning aids, materials and supplies

·         Provide consultation to classroom teachers for curriculum planning, lesson preparation and modification of instructional materials

·         Evaluate student academic and behavioral progress

REMUNERATION :                          ·     Based on Teacher contract

QUALIFICATIONS :                        ·    Connecticut Certification as a Special Education
