Crewperson V - Fixed Assets/Warehouse

ACCOUNTABILITY:
Reports to Technical Assistant - Fixed Assets and Warehouse
Data Control
JOB SUMMARY:
Performs specialized duties associated with fixed Assets
(buildings land and inventory) service database and disposition
of obsolete materials.
Receives supplies and equipment from vendors, fills stock
requisitions, handles returns and helps maintain an accurate
warehouse inventory. Serve as the backup for the department's
Supply and Mail delivery drivers.
DUTIES AND
RESPONSIBILITIES:
1.
Assist in the maintenance of the
district's land, building, and fixed assets data system and
coordinating the land and building values with the work order
system administrator; prepares land and building and fixed
asset reports as needed.
2.
Assisting in Tagging and
documenting all Wichita Public School items that fit within the
governances of the Fixed Asset policy and operating
procedures.
3.
Input daily equipment into
service data base by Adjusting user assets details in Oracle
(Transfer, retire, input new items).
4.
Source and produce end of month
and annual Fixed Asset reports.
5.
Assist with Supply Department
Web site maintenance.
6.
Assist with District Surplus
material off site and on site auctions.
7.
Accurately checks in received
supplies and equipment against purchase order and receiving
documents. Processes all receiving records in a timely,
accurate manner. Assists the Technical Assistant of Receiving
in processing all incoming and outgoing supplies scheduled for
pick up or delivery by district or commercial truck
lines.
8.
Processes stock/textbook
requisitions for delivery in a timely, accurate manner and
returned stock items per district requirements. Maintains the
stock database: adds new items, deletes obsolete items and
changes descriptions.
Receives, inspects and stocks all supplies. Organizes, adjusts
and maintains warehouse space, racks, and shelves to
accommodate supplies.
9.
Operates all supply vehicles and
materials handling equipment in a safe manner; perform
preventative maintenance; reports any malfunctions of equipment
to supervisor.
10.
Reports accidents immediately to proper authorities and
immediate supervisors.
11.
Performs all services and duties on any assigned
delivery route, or any other area of Supply.
12.
Performs other duties as assigned by the Supply
Department Manager.
SKILLS AND EDUCATIONAL
REQUIREMENTS
: Effective verbal and written communication and computer
skills. Good working relationship with internal and external
customers.
Basic knowledge of different types of supplies. Ability to
plan, organize, make accurate calculations.
Proficient knowledge of computer and office software
applications.
Data entry accuracy is essential. Working knowledge of all
Supply Department duties and functions. Commercial Drivers
License, Class B is required. Must be cross trained and able to
fill in at any crewperson position.
INTERRELATIONS:
Contact with customers, vendors, and district personnel.
Ability to work with a diverse population.
WORKING CONDITIONS
: Occasional overtime required.
Attendance at required meetings. Frequent heavy workload with
pressure to process and move mail, payroll or supplies.
Frequent lifting of up to 50 pound boxes required.
NEEDED ATTRIBUTES
: Exhibit a professional manner to customers, internal and
external.
Ability to plan and organize.
Regular attendance.
Temperament:
Ability to perform a variety of tasks, change assignments on
short notice, perform under deadlines and work in a calm,
efficient manner.
