QUALIFICATIONS:
Bachelor of Arts degree with a major in mathematics.
Valid State of
Michigan teaching certificate with a secondary endorsement in
mathematics; must meet all requirements for NCLB highly qualified
status.
MINIMUM
REQUIREMENTS:
Must be able to demonstrate proficiency with the use of a variety
of technology in math instruction and learning.
Capable of
providing effective remedial mathematics instruction that meets
the individual needs, interests, and abilities of
students.
Capable of creating a classroom environment that is conducive to
learning and appropriate to the maturity and interests of the
students.
Fully familiar with Michigan curriculum benchmarks and new grade
level content expectations for secondary school mathematics.
Have the ability to work with other teachers and with parents of
students assigned to the classroom.
Have knowledge of theories of learning and child development.
