WORK DAY/YEAR: 3 hours per day, 4 days per week; 12:45 p.m - 3:45 pm.; Monday - Thursday
SALARY: Minimum $13.32 per hour
TWO POSITIONS AVAILABLE
*Assist the teacher in the classroom with children with special needs. *Performs tasks within the level of responsibility of position as assigned by the supervisor.
Qualifications: *Minimum requirement of two years of college (48 semester credits), a two-year degree, or completion of the Para Pro Assessment. (Please include transcript with application.) *Ability to establish/maintain effective working relationships with ECSE children and staff. *Understanding of young children with medical and/or development disabilities. *Knowledge of growth and development in young children. *Experience with young children through nursery school or day care employment. *Experience working with children with special needs. *Effective teaming and communication skills. *Strong initiative and ability to work independently. *Knowledge and experience with applied behavior techniques. *Regular, on-time attendance is required. *Physical requirement: must be able to lift up to 50 lbs. Stooping and bending required.
