Description: Office Paraprofessional/Receptionist
Job Summary: This is a 7.5 hour per day (8 hour work day) position at Northpoint Elementary School. The position requires a person with strong collaborative and communication skills, is technology savvy, is self-directed but a team player, is culturally aware, and responsible. Other duties include, but are not limited to, preparing for major building events such as Open House, Parent Teacher Conferences, Kindergarten Round-up and Registration, etc., and other duties as assigned by the building principal or administrative assistant.
Qualifications: 2 year AA degree or college degree. Candidate must be able to handle confidential information, perform tasks proficiently while handling frequent interruptions, multi-task, and possess good communication skills. Candidate must have excellent customer service skills. Personal skills must include a professional, friendly, positive, and cooperative work style and the ability to work with many types of people in various circumstances. Previous clerical experience (office management, secretarial, or book keeping) in an education setting preferred, as well as above average word processing/keyboarding and other clerical skills. Extensive background in computer applications including Microsoft Word, Novell GroupWise, Excel, and Campus.
Bilingual candidates, preferred.
Working Conditions: Monday - Friday 8:15 - 4:15, Pay per paraprofessional contract
