Summer School Program
Safety Officers (3-4 Positions)
Pending Enrollment
The 2012 Summer School Program will begin at the WHS site on
June 12 and will continue until July 27. Security Assistants
will work 5 hours daily Monday through Friday. There
will be no school Wednesday, July 4, 2011.

Responsibilities:
(1) Supervise hallways during the school day; (2)
Provide assigned building and grounds security and supervision
necessary for the effective operation of the educational program;
(3) Responsible for assisting the staff in situations which require
one-on-one attention of an emergency nature; (4) Keep non-students
and non-staff out of the lot; (5) Keep the students orderly and be
aware of possible food fights; (6) Try to settle minor problems by
talking to the students; (7) Observe any incident so that you can
make an intelligent report; (8) Report the following immediately to
the Assistant/Principal: fights, drugs, threats, extortion,
trespassers that refuse to leave, arguments, vandalism and other
related issued.
Qualifications:
(1) High School diploma or equivalent; (2) 60 College Credits or
Associate Degree; (3) Illinois Teacher Aide Approval. (4) Ability
to pass the paraprofessional basic skills test administered in the
Human Resources Office, 1201 N. Sheridan Road, Waukegan, IL
60085
Salary:
$11.32 per hour
