Bilingual Resource Teacher - Grades K-3

Description:

The Bilingual Resource Teacher will develop written lesson plans that provide a program of study that, as

much as possible, meets the individual needs, interests, and abilities of the bilingual students. Translate lesson plans

into learning experiences, possess skill in oral and written expression. Establish and maintain standards of pupil behavior

needed to achieve a functional learning atmosphere in the classroom. Identify pupil needs and cooperates with other

professional staff members in assessing and helping pupils solve attitude and learning problems.

Qualifications:

• Appropriate and current Illinois Certification, Type 03, 09 or 10 Teaching Certificate 
• Training and/or experience with bilingual elementary students 
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills
• Broad-based knowledge of curriculum, teaching methodologies and assessment, the State of Illinois Goals for Education.
