Executive Assistant - Superintendent's Office                                                                         
Salary Grade 6 - 12 month - 1.0 FTE

Responsibilities
-Perform administrative and complex secretarial work and support and serve as executive assistant in the Superintendent’s office
-Coordinate and manage large projects
-Coordinate appointments, meetings, voicemail and email
-Review and respond to mail
-Compose and send correspondence
-Ability to maintain strict confidentiality
-Ability to take initiative and to develop and modify work procedures
-Answer incoming phone calls and respond to public inquiries and complaints
-Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with administrators and staff, the public, and other agencies and organizations
-Ability to make decisions in accordance with rules, regulations and procedures
-Assist with calls and other duties for other team members in the Superintendent’s office
-Required to have broad knowledge to respond to diverse requests for information for employees and general public utilizing public relations expertise and knowledge of District functions and policies
-Other duties as assigned
 
Qualifications
Required:
-High school graduation or equivalent
-Communicate (read, write, and speak) in English, must pass English component of interview process.
-Completed and submitted BVSD online application

Preferred:
-Minimum of four years progressively responsible secretarial experience
-Skill in using computers, a variety of software and word processing programs
