Summer School Secretary for 9 <sup>th</sup> - 12 <sup>th</sup>

1 Position Available - Pending Funding and Enrollment

 

The 2012 Summer School Program will begin at WHS on June 12 and will continue until July 26.  There will be two semesters.  The secretary will work 5 hours daily Monday through Friday, 7:15 am - 12:15 pm.  Classes will not meet Wednesday July 4, 2011.

 

There will be two semesters:

Semester 1: June 12, 2012 -July 3, 2012

Semester 2: July 5, 2012 - July 26, 2012

 

Locations : WHS

 

Responsibilities : (1) Provide clerical duties as directed by the program administrator; (2) Help prepare materials to create and sustain a positive classroom and school environment for children; (3) Attend meetings scheduled by the site coordinator; (4) Assist with data collection, record keeping, and reporting; (5) Participate in all program evaluations; (6) Help monitor student attendance; (7) Demonstrate positive interpersonal interaction with students and parents; (8) Assist teachers and/or administrators with communication efforts; (9) Attend to specific student needs as directed by teachers and/or administrators; (10) Help monitor student achievement and instructional needs; (11) Perform other job related duties as requested by teachers and/or program administrator.         

 

Work Year : June 12, 2012 through July 26, 2012

                     Monday through Friday

                     5 hours daily

                  

Salary : In District Employee: Commensurate with current hourly wage

            Out of District Employee : $1,600 Stipend

Secretaries will be paid per contract for a total of 140 hours.  Federal and State withholding will be take from the amount earned.  Absences or tardiness will result in a decreased amount as indicated in this job description.  Checks will be issued at the end of June and the end of July

 

Additional Information : Failure to fulfill these duties and responsibilities may result in dismissal from the program.  No more than two days can be missed without jeopardizing dismissal and termination of the contract unless extenuating circumstances prevail

           

Requirements : (1) Must have a high school diploma or equivalent; (2) Strong Computer skills; (3) Minimum typing speed of 45 wpm and the ability to pass the secretarial skills test; (4) Ability to do record keeping; (5) Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to work with the public.
