SPECIFICATIONS:
The normal work schedule for this summer school position is
6 weeks. The individual employed for this
position must be trained in Scholastic Math Intervention.
Summer School is schedule from June 10, 2013 - July 11,
2013. The Elementary and Middle School Teacher for Summer School
Math Intervention will work Monday -Thursday 7:30am- 12:30 pm.
In-service will be conducted May, 22
<sup>nd</sup>
and 23
<sup>rd</sup>
as well as a teacher work day June 7
<sup>th</sup>
from 8-12. Subs will be provided for the May training
dates. Teachers work directly with students in providing Math
Intervention. Teachers work with other teachers, staff and
administrators in achieving the district goals, department goals,
objectives and philosophy. They also develop and maintain
effective communication with parents. The teachers report
to the summer school building principal. In accordance with
school policies as established by the Board Of Education, the
teachers are responsible for supervision of students and for
development and implementation of instructional programs for
which they are certified.
QUALIFICATIONS:
Type 3 and 9 Certification with a Self-Contained
General Education K-9 Endorsement required, this depends on the
grade level you will be teaching. A Middle School Math
Endorsement is required to teach Middle School Math
Intervention. You must be trained in Scholastic Math
Intervention in order to be considered.
