QUALIFICATIONS

High School diploma or general education degree (GED)

Related experience

Superintendent and/or Board may find appropriate
REQUIRED KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES

Ability to work effectively with others
-
Ability to communicate ideas and directives clearly and
effectively both orally and in writing
-
Effective, active listening skills
-
Organizational and problem solving skills
-
Knowledge of heating and cooling systems
-
Knowledge of electrical and plumbing repairs
-
Knowledge of safety procedures
-
Training in the proper care and storage of chemicals, e.g.,
OSHA/PERRAC training
-
Ability to read written instructions, warnings and labels, and
understand verbal directions
-
Mechanically inclined with an attitude to do minor repairs,
evaluate and access mechanical concerns and report the concerns
to the Head Custodian for further evaluation
-
Acceptance of building use and the need for flexibility in
cleaning schedules
