Responsible to:
District Engineer, Director of Facilities.
Position Purpose:
Position responsible for building and grounds maintenance and
cleanliness which provides a healthy, safe and attractive
appearance and environment.
Job Objective:
Performs
responsible general custodial work in the care and
cleaning of school buildings; does related work as required.
Work is performed under the general supervision of full-time
custodial staff .
Responsibilities:

assignment to the position.)
A. Sweeps,
vacuums, cleans, mops assigned areas.
B. Scrubs and
cleans toilets including mirrors, wash basins, urinals,
commodes, slop sinks, etc.; fills tissue, towel and soap
dispensers.
C. Sanitizes and
cleans drinking fountains.
D. Performs minor
repairs; replaces light bulbs, attends to jammed
lockers.
E. Checks
schedule and sets up for athletic, school events, and community
events when needed.
F. Communicate
effectively using telephone, radio, and email in addition to
in-person communication.
G. Cleans
specified area after special events.
H. Turns off
lights, locks doors to rooms.
I. Outdoor
duties including grass and weed trimming, lawn mowing,
landscaping, earth and material transfers, and other outdoor
landscaping and maintenance duties as required.
J. Performs other
duties as assigned.
