Instructional leader in the classroom. Responsible for
planning, instructing, and evaluating student
instruction/learning. Accountable for individual classroom
management. Provide appropriate student instruction in
accordance with the District's K-4 curriculum.
Knowledge and use of research-based instructional
strategies. Participate in District and Building Professional
Development opportunities. Participate in grade level and
building meetings. Work successfully as part of a team in a
highly collaborative manner. Knowledge and use
of authentic assessment techniques to drive
instruction. Strong classroom management skills and
interpersonal relations. Understand and implement grade level
expectation into the curriculum in preparation for the
Missouri Assessment Program (MAP).
Current Missouri Certification in Elementary Education (1-6).
Knowledge of and/or desire to learn Response to
Intervention. Knowledge of and/or desire to learn
research-based instructional strategies and technology into the
classroom. Knowledge or and/or desire to learn Missouri
Assessment Program (MAP) or authentic assessment strategies.
Willingness to collaborate with peers. Must successfully pass
a background check and drug test that are satisfactory to the Board
of Education. Willingness to understand and support
District's Comprehensive School Improvement Plan.
