Position:
Guidance Registrar & Assessment Administrative Support

Hours:
40 hours per week during school year (begin 3 weeks prior and end
two
weeks after student
starting and ending dates); additional summer hours
may be scheduled as
needed by principal and guidance staff
Pay
Rate:
$16 to $18 per hour based on credentials and experience
Main Responsibilities:
· Primarily
responsible for input of student course selections and the
creation of class schedules.
· Receives input
from guidance staff and makes student schedule changes.
· Works with
students and guidance staff to resolve scheduling conflicts.
· Evaluates
incoming student transcripts and transcribes credits to conform
to the trimester system.
· Interprets and
enters grades for new students and creates a history file with
transcripts.
· Assists the
principal, guidance staff and department chairs with creation of
the middle and high school master schedules.
· Monitors and
assists in the creation and revision of electronic student
educational development plans.
· Updates and
maintains class rank, honor roll, and senior scholar lists.
· Receives and
inputs student assessment scores.
· Assists the
principal and staff with timely identification of students who
are at-risk of failing or not completing courses.
· Assists the
National Honor Society advisor with identification of eligible
candidates.
· Assists the
principal with identification of academic letter winners.
· Assists the
principal, Dean of Students, and guidance staff with accurate
completion and assembly of pupil accounting documents.
· Assists the
principal and guidance staff with planning, scheduling,
identifying students, updating student information, and conduct
of state-mandated assessments, including receipt, inventory, and
return of secured documents.
· Communicates
with students, parents, and staff to ensure current and accurate
electronic student records.
· Assists the
principal and other staff with collection and organization of
student achievement, assessment, attendance, and disciplinary
data.
· Performs other
duties as assigned by the principal or guidance staff including
conduct of honor assemblies and commencement exercises.
Qualifications:
· Minimum of two
years college with four-year degree preferred.
· Experience
working in or directly with a secondary school guidance
office.
· Experience or
sufficient working knowledge of student information management
systems (Infinite Campus or similar system preferred).
· Must
satisfactorily demonstrate a high level of organizational, office
and technology skills during the interview and subsequent
probationary period.
· Spanish
language skills desired but not required.
