special education programs as required under the Individuals with Disabilities Education Act and by the Wyoming Department of Education's Rules Governing
Services for Children With Disabilities.
and directs district wide special education programs.
and monitors the district budget for special education in collaboration with
Sweetwater County School District Number 1 Business Office.
the number of special education instructional staff as well as certified staff
specialist needed in conjunction with building administrators when appropriate.
staff to buildings, coordinating those assignments with building administrators
and the Director of Human Resources.
the preparation and completion of all reports as required by the Wyoming
Department of Education and federal agencies.
the VI-B Grant and incorporates the grant into the Sweetwater County School
District Number 1 Consolidated Grant application prepared by the Office of
Teaching and Learning.
the Special Services Summer School Programs.
all non-instructional certified personnel working full time with special
office personnel working directly under the supervision of the Director of
special education student record data collection and the maintenance of that
data to insure completeness and compliance with the Family Education Rights and Privacy Act.
the need for, plan, implement, and evaluate professional development for
certified and non certified staff that would include the transportation staff,
nurses, special education staff, regular education staff, and administrators.
in cooperative manner with community, county, and state agencies, that work

special education personnel as requested by building principals.

Master's Degree from an accredited college or university.

Director of Special Services or for such alternatives as the Board of Trustees
of Sweetwater County School District Number One may find appropriate and

each day. Possess sufficient strength to lift boxes that weighs up to 50 pounds
