QUALIFICATIONS:
Candidates must hold, or be eligible to hold, a Wyoming teaching
certificate with a special education endorsement and must be
highly qualified as an elementary teacher. Other desired
qualifications include: Experience working with students in
grades K-3; knowledge of the IEP process and electronic
reporting; knowledge of PBIS, RtI, Tier III/IV interventions, and
Nonviolent Crisis Intervention; excellent oral and written
communication skills; ability to work well with students, staff,
parents, and others; and willingness to continue growing
professionally.
JOB DESCRIPTION:
The teacher provides instruction in reading, writing, and
mathematics to help students on IEPs meet District-required
curricular objectives; collaborates with parents and staff to
problem-solve and develop the most appropriate instructional
programs to implement IEPs; develops and manages behavior
management programs for students whose behavior interferes with
their learning; and helps students learn how to work
collaboratively with others and to problem-solve.
