Job Summary:
The Intervention Teacher supports
school staff with the implementation of Lexia Learning for
tier 2 and tier 3 targeted interventions,
Duties and Responsibilities
1.
Implement targeted interventions for tier 2 and
tier 3 students.
2.
Identification of students needing targeted
intervention
3.
Follow district protocols for the implementation
of the Multi-Tiered System of Supports (MTSS)
4.
Consult and collaborate with general education,
special education and ESOL teachers regarding students' needs and
progress of skills.
5.
Assist Teachers with identifying deficits through
the use of diagnostic tools and through progress
monitoring.
6.
Provide reports to teachers and the school
principal on a weekly basis.
Skills and Educational Requirements
The skill requirements are:

Background knowledge and experience in
administration of diagnostic assessments
·
Background knowledge and experience in
instruction
·
Strong organizational and planning skills
·
Ability to coordinate efforts for the timely
accomplishment of short and long term goals
·
Proficiency in problem solving and willingness to
perform a variety of tasks
·
Excellent oral and written communication
skills
The educational requirements are:
·
Minimum of a Bachelor's degree
·
Current Teaching License
